Veneration of the Qur'an is done by learning and teaching it, memorizing and respecting its laws and provisions, knowing thereby what is permissible and what is forbidden, also by honouring those who understand and have memorized it, and by making oneself aware of Allah's promises and threats which inspire weeping.
Allah has said:
"Had We sent this Qur'an down upon a mountain you would have seen it humbled, rent asunder from the fear of Allah." (Qur'an, 59:21)
"Assuredly, it is a generous Qur'an, in a book kept hidden, which none touches save the purified; a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds." (Qur'an, 56:77-80)
"Had it been possible for a Qur'an to cause the mountains to move, or the earth to be torn asunder, or the dead to speak – but Allah's is the whole command." (Qur'an, 13:31)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The best of you is he who learns and teaches the Qur'an." (Al-Bukhari) He also said, as reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim on the authority of Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari: "Hold fast constantly to this Qur'an, for by Him in Whose hand lies the soul of Muhammad, it escapes from one more easily than does a camel from its hobbling-cord."
They also relate the following on the authority of Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): "Envy is permissible only in respect of two men: one whom Allah gives His Book, and who stands reciting it day and night, and a man whom Allah gives wealth, which he gives in charity day and night."
Imam Muslim relates on the authority of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Truly, through this book Allah exalts some people, and abases others."

English Translation of Al-Quran
[9].Surah At-Taubah [The Repentance]
Ayat 11. But if they repent, perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat, then they are your brethren in religion. (In this way) We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail for a people who know.
Ayat 12. But if they violate their oaths after their covenant, and attack your religion with disapproval and criticism then fight (you) the leaders of disbelief (chiefs of Quraish - pagans of Makkah) - for surely their oaths are nothing to them - so that they may stop (evil actions).
Hadith الحديث
English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Ibn Masud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: He who likes to meet Allah tomorrow (i.e., on the Day of Requital) as a Muslim, should take care and observe the Salat when the Adhan is announced for them. Allah has expounded to your Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) the ways of right guidance, and these (the prayers) are part of the right guidance. If you have to perform Salat in your houses, as this man who stays away (from the mosque) and performs Salat in his house, you will abandon the Sunnah (practice) of your Prophet [SAWW](PBUH), and the departure from the Sunnah of your Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) will lead you astray. I have seen the time when no one stayed behind except a well-known hypocrite. I also saw that a man was brought swaying (on account of weakness) between two men till he was set up in a row (in the mosque).
[Muslim Hadith # 1376].
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah At-Taubah Ayat 11. "But if they repent, perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat)" This Hadith makes the following four points: 1.Emphasis on performing Salat in congregation. 2.The passion of the Companions of the Prophet (PBUH) for Salat. 3.Evasion from Salat with congregation is a practice of hypocrites. 4.Inducement for following the Sunnah of the Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) because evasion from it is bound to lead one astray.
